In light of the recent events coming to pass in our nation’s government, we wanted to pass along some key revelation that the Lord is bringing to light so that we can pray and believe together. 

After the confession of former attorney general, Jody Wilson-Raybould, Canada’s government is left in a state of uncertainty. As we keep leaning into God to hear what He is doing as He is shifting, exposing, and shaking, there is great hope in our hearts, as well as great fear and trembling. Take a look at the timeline of events and prophetic words below for some key prayer strategies.

On Thursday, September 20, 2018, Apostle Barbara Yoder released a word at a regional gathering hosted by Harvest Outreach International and CFT in St. Thomas, Ontario.

As we have been worshiping, this thing that just keeps going around and around and around in my head, and there’s that saying that says, just let a sleeping dog lie but the Lord said I’m not like a sleeping dog, I’m the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. But this nation has said, has treated the Lion like a dog and has kept him asleep but God said I’m on the verge of shaking this nation at the highest level. I am going to cause an uncovering, a controversy to occur at the highest level that literally causes such unrest and such… um… it’s disengaging the status quo that I declare that the status quo is going to be disengaged in this nation, for I am going to create something that will not be great with the Prime Minister and it is about ready to hit the news and the Lord said it will shake this nation to its core, for I will have this nation and I am the Lion of the Tribe of Judah and I have said that this nation is for the healing of the nations and God said My word will stand. It is time to stand in his word and shout with a shout of the Lion of the Tribe of Judah for even the ground will shake - that there will be shaking in the ground and there will even be an earthquake of a magnitude that has never occurred before for I will possess this nation for my own.

Shortly after this word was released, we heard word that a small earthquake had occurred between Ottawa and Quebec. It was a sign that the Lord was shaking. As we later found out in Jody Wilson-Raybould’s testimony, September 2018 was when she began to receive pressure from members of the top government officials to change her verdict over the SNC-Lavalin case.

Fast forward to this Sunday, March 3. We gathered at our regional gathering, The Ascent and the Lord brought to our attention the year 1967. After looking deeper into it, He highlighted that this was the year that the Justice Minister, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, introduced the Omnibus Bill. Although this bill was rejected the first time it was introduced, after Trudeau became the Prime Minister he appointed John Turner as his new Justice Minister and the bill was passed in 1969. This bill was responsible for the legalization of abortions, amongst other laws. It became a gateway for unrighteousness to our nation that attacked the family unit as well as began the decline of morality in our nation. An article that was published from 1969 stated, “Omnibus Bill: A New Era in Canada.”

Furthermore, Jody Wilson-Raybould’s father, Bill Wilson, came face to face with Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau in 1983 at a constitutional conference on Indigenous issues. Bill stated that both his daughters wanted to become Prime Minister, to which Prime Minister Trudeau jokingly remarked, “Tell them I’ll stick around until they’re ready.”

Only God would have known that 36 years later, their children would be standing face to face, this time exposing the immorality that was ushered in years ago. Today this confrontation would bring truth that would penetrate the core of the nation, exposing and revealing the righteousness this country was founded on. The gates of the adversary that were positioned all those years ago are being shaken.

In case we need further confirmation of the shaking, our friends in Sylvan Lake, Alberta, Cathryn Nash reported this: 

We had an earth quake in Sylvan Lake at 5:55 this morning. Yesterday we had a service at Frontline Worship Centre dedicated for breakthrough!! Enough is enough! The fire of God was so present. The whole church was on fire. The worship was on fire! This is a verse I spoke over the mountain of cancer. The size of earth quake was 4.6. Mountain comes down with great shouts of grace, grace, grace - 5:55 the time of the earthquake and the number 5 represents grace.

Then he said to me, This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6

For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain [a meremolehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, grace, grace to it! Zechariah 4:7

It is clear that this is a pivotal time in our nation. As the ekklesia, it’s critical to position ourselves in love and humility as we pray and agree with Heaven – not our own agendas. The temptation to be distracted and agree with the fear and chaos in the atmosphere is great. But with fear and trembling, we must bow our hearts low. 

In one of our prayer gatherings the Lord gave this scripture in Proverbs 24:17-18 as a simple guide:

 17 Do not gloat when your enemy falls;
    when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice,
18 or the Lord will see and disapprove
    and turn his wrath away from them.

As watchmen for Canada, it is going to be of the utmost importance in the coming days that we lean in to listen to what God is saying and to deal with any issues in our hearts that would cloud our vision. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against powers and authorities in the heavenly realms. (Eph. 6:12).

KEY ACTIVATION POINTS FOR YOUR PERSONAL LIFE:

1. Get your heart right. If there is any celebration in your heart towards the demise of a person (not a spirit) repent and ask for forgiveness. This displeases our father and clouds our hearts and prayers. Take some time with Holy Spirit to let Him search you before you enter into prayer for the nation. Many times we don’t even know what’s in our hearts until Holy Spirit shows us. Proverbs 24:17-18, Psalm 139:23-24

KEY ACTIVATION FOR THE REGION/BODY OF CHRIST:

1. Pray that the hearts of every person involved in the uncovered scandals would be restored to Jesus. Pray for mercy over them and grace to run towards God, and that they would repent, respond and be moved towards righteousness.

2. Pray for the continued shaking of things that can be shaken and declare that the righteous foundation of our nation will once again be established. Hebrews 12:26-29
