From Trauma to Trusting

From Trauma to Trusting

As we journey through the month of Kislev (trust and coming full circle), the Lord wants to heal the trauma inside each and every one of us.  The best time to do this is during the night season, when we are asleep. This is one of the many ways God draws things out of us. Trauma causes us to self-protect and become independent, making entrance for fear and pride to be set up in our souls. Unbeknownst to us, it prevents us from fully trusting God. In this season the Lord is offering a way for us to be healed so we can have an unshakeable faith in our King Jesus.

Psalm 125:1 “Those who trust in, lean on and confidently hope in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides and stands fast forever.

Pray

Lord, we give you permission to do what you need to do while we sleep.  Help us to correctly process what it is You are trying to say through our dreams. Open the eyes of our heart so we can see these things through Your eyes. We ask that you would heal all our broken places and resurrect the dead areas. Where trauma, loss, disappointment and sin have captured us with fear and pride, we ask that you would, by Your grace, forgive us. We also stand in the gap for our governmental leaders and our nation. We cry out for mercy and forgiveness for them all.  May they “taste and see (experience for themselves) that the Lord is good,” Psalm 34:8, so that they can be healed and restored during this Christmas season and find their way home to You.  As they do, we declare that they would be overtaken by the rivers of Life.

This month which represents the tribe of Benjamin, brings with it the characteristic of war. Benjamin was the most gifted with the art of the bow and so the symbol for this month is the archer, representing a time to fight against empires and cultures.

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”   Eph. 6:12

More often than not, we try to defeat enemies “out there” when we haven’t conquered the enemies of our own soul first. By examining our own hearts and motives with the Lord, strongholds that are preventing the victory God has promised can be dismantled within us.

“A man who cannot rule his own spirit is like a city whose walls are broken down.”  Prov 25:28.

“Come now, and let us reason together, says the Lord:  though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow”  Isaiah 1:18.

As the Ekklesia continues to pilgrimage with our God as we “let [our] light shine before others, so that they may see [our] good works and give glory to [our] Father who is in heaven”. Matt. 5:16.  We declare over our nation and our government Prob. 21:12 TPT “A godly, righteous person has the ability to bring the light of instruction to the wicked even though he despises what the wicked do.”  We stand in the gap like Moses and say Ex. 33:13 “If you are pleased with us, teach us your ways so we may know You and continue to find favour with you.  Remember that this nation (Canada) is Your people.”
