It's harvest time!
Harvest season has begun and we have seen the farmers busy in the fields with their combines, tractors, and wagons. The fields are full and we don’t have to look too far to see how God has provided for His children, as well as those who do not yet have a revelation of His love for them. He is faithful to take care of us, just like He did the Israelites.
You provided for them in the desert for forty years, and they had everything they needed. Their clothes didn’t wear out and their feet didn’t swell. - Nehemiah 9:21
He rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven. Human beings ate the bread of angels; he sent them all the food they could eat. - Psalm 78:24-25
God not only provides naturally in this season, but He also has a wonderful surprise waiting for us spiritually, where demons fear to tread - that is in His Presence, where His love penetrates our very being. He is longing to make His appearance in our midst and even in these very jars of clay, if we dare to let Him in and let go of the false securities we are clinging to.
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. - Exodus 40:34
I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord of hosts. - Haggai 2:7
The Hebrew letter associated with this month of Tishrei, is the letter “LAMED”. As the 12th letter of the alphabet, it is considered to be the central (“heart”) letter as it stands taller than all the rest. It is interesting to know that the alphabet letter before LAMED stands for “the throne of Glory” and the letter following stands for “kingdom”. The three central letters together, spell the word “King”.
The letter LAMED comes from a root word meaning - to learn or teach. So, as we call upon the name of the Lord and position ourselves to receive our King this month, He will bring understanding where our heart is not lined up with our knowledge. As our hearts experience the knowledge of Him, it changes who we are for His glory.
So, we invite You, King of Glory to come into our midst and dwell within us, align our hearts with the knowledge of You so that we experience Your incredible Presence.
Who is the glorious King? The Eternal who is powerful and mightily equipped for battle. City gates—open wide! Ancient doors—stand back! For the glorious King shall soon pass your way. Who is the glorious King? The Eternal, Commander of heaven’s army, He is the glorious King. - Psalm 24:8-10
I pray that out of his glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. - Ephesians 3:16
