Forming the 43rd parliament

It has been relatively quiet on the home front as decisions are being made for what the 43rd Parliament will look like.

Isaiah 43:1-2 states, “But now, this is what the Lord says - He who created you, O Jacob, He who formed you o Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.' This is God’s promise to those who belong to His Kingdom.”

If we belong to His kingdom, we are His ambassadors. As ambassadors, we are to represent the One who has sent us. 2 Cor 5:19-21, "For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And He gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So, we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!"

So, we release this over Canada and our government today - “Come back to God”.

Lord, we ask you to forgive us for wanting a king like the other nations. We repent and ask that you would restore what has been lost. We thank you for your word which fights on our behalf to establish the restoration. Daniel 2:44, "In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever."

We thank you Lord, that we belong to Your kingdom and we don’t have to be fearful about what is going on around us. Isaiah 9:7, "Of the growth of His government and peace there will be no end. He will rule over His kingdom, sitting on the throne of David, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness from this time onward and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of the Heavenly Armies will accomplish this.”

Lord, as the 43rd Parliament is in the selection stages of the chosen ambassadors, we ask the selection would come straight from heaven. That you would appoint the people with your heart, direction and values. We declare over the selection process Deut 16:18, "You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns which the Lord your God is giving you, according to your tribes and they shall judge the people with righteous judgement.”

Lord, now we lift up Justin Trudeau and declare Prov 21:1, "The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water; he turneth it withersoever he will.”   

We pray the Blood of Jesus over our government and all those leading our nation that they would be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
