Positioning Ourselves for the New Year

The year 2019 will soon pass away.  Have we let God birth the fullness of the new wineskin in us?  There’s still time to ask the Lord to position you for the fresh, new start. We don’t want to miss a thing!

As we celebrated Christmas and the “Light of the World stepping down into creation,” there may still be areas of our soul that are turning away from the light.  It’s like when you are in darkness for so long and you come out into the bright sun, it actually hurts your eyes and is uncomfortable. You have to push past the pain, and let your eyes adjust to the brightness of the light rather than retreating to the darkness where it is comfortable.

Whether that is represented by feelings of anxiety, frustration, disappointment, fear, depression or hopelessness we are all in the same battle.  However, what we do with our feelings, will determine if we retreat to the darkness, or whether we have victory and can be used by the Lord for his glory in 2020 to be His voice.

Matt 12:34-35  For out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.  The good man from his inner good treasure flings forth good things, and the evil man out of his inner evil storehouse flings forth evil things.

What is in our souls will eventually come out. Let’s make one last sweep of everything that needs to go. You can be assured, there will be a fight, but as we submit to the Holy Spirit inside of us, we will have the grace we need to gain the victory. God wants us to live happy, fulfilled and walking in our God-given destiny.

Gal 5:17 For your self-life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit and hinder Him from living free within you!  And the Holy Spirit’s intense cravings hinder your old self-life from DOMINATING you.  So then, the two incompatible and conflicting forces within you are your self-life of flesh and the new creation life of the Spirit.

2020 has the promise of a new era. When we have 20/20 vision, we see with clarity. We want to make sure we are seeing from God’s perspective, because the Hebrew year of 5780, “80” symbolizes the mouth and the Lord is preparing us to speak. We will speak what we see, so it’s time for the Ekklesia to arise and speak life over all situations.

2 Chron. 20:20 Believe in the Lord your God and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.

Our King will be able to use us in extraordinary ways. So, we decree over the Ekklesia:

Jer 1:9“Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.  See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”  Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?”  And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree (representing activity, coming to life}.  Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”
