Prince of Peace
As the New Year fast approaches, we continue to position ourselves this month, to let the Prince of Peace invade every aspect of our soul. Before He comes, we can prepare for His visitation and make room for Him. With it being the month to develop our warfare strategies, let’s take aim at every thing in us that is preventing victory in our lives and the fullness of His Presence within. We are the only ones that can do that and if we don’t, the enemy entangles us with his lies and we are taken captive. Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to examine our hearts for any offense, bitterness, anger, fear, judgement, control and unforgiveness. These things are not always obvious. They hide deep down in the recesses of our soul and prevent us from trusting our King and loving others.
Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? 2nd Cor 13:5
We don’t have to be afraid of what we find when we are examining ourselves. It’s like cleaning our house. We are responsible for our inner life and our attitude, not the outcome of a situation or choices of others. Don’t let guilt, shame, worry, fear and condemnation counsel you. Instead trust the One that loves you beyond measure and wants to help you. This is the best Christmas present you can give yourself!
So, as we position ourselves to make room for His visitation, we stand in the gap for all Canadians, especially those in our government, so that they can hear these words among the noise and rule from this place.
Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear. Matt 11:28-30
“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. Here on earth you will have many trials, sorrows and suffering. But take heart (be confident, trust Me)! For I have overcome the world. (Deprived it of its power to harm you.) John 16:33
Leave your troubles with the Lord, and He will defend you, He never lets honest people be defeated. Psalm 55:22
As we make room for Him, He can birth the new within us, as we enter the next year of 2020. May we feed on the abundance and riches of His life - our gift from God.
When they arrived in Bethlehem, Mary went into labour, and there she gave birth to her firstborn son. After wrapping the newborn baby in strips of cloth, they laid him in a feeding trough since there was no available space in any upper room in the village. Luke 2:7
