The Lord Reigns

I was encouraged this week as I watched the video, The Blessing Canada.  It had denominations and churches from all across our nation sing, The Blessing.

As we continue to stand on guard for Canada and wait on the Lord, we do so one step at a time, just like the disciples after the church was born.  They didn’t understand the fullness which was unfolding before their eyes.  Although, our government has decided not to resume until September, we know that our heavenly government is still working and fighting on our behalf and that God is still in control and is “ESSENTIAL” in our lives.

We declare over our nation and the nations of the world:

God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne. - Psalm 47:8

The Lord will reign forever, Your God, O Zion to all generations.  Praise the Lord. - Psalm 146:10

The Lord reigns forever; He has established his throne for judgment.   He rules the world in righteousness and judges the peoples with equity.   The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.  Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.  Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. For he who avenges blood remembers; He does not ignore the cries of the afflicted. - Psalm 9:7-12

What is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?  For You have made him a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honour.  You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet. - Psalm 8:4-6

The Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty, the Lord has clothed and girded Himself with strength, indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be move. - Psalm 93:1

You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth. - Revelations 5:10

We thank you God for Your Word and promises that do no return void.  We are thankful that You are still in control working behind the scenes and that Your Word trumps what we see in the natural.  We lift our nation to You and just like at the time of Pentecost when Your flame lit the church, may Your consuming fire burn off the things that are holding us back from walking in the fullness of what You have for us.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire."
- Hebrews 12:28-29

If God is for us, who can be against us?  - Romans 8:31
