If you didn’t, it’s never too late to call Him and talk, heart to heart - No masks required. God’s number one love language is TIME, for He is a God of relationship not dictatorship!
What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds!” 1 Corinthians 2:9
The spiritual war going on around us is for our identity. What we believe about God, ourselves and His relationship to us will determine our life course. Jesus reversed the curse! If He is our Lord and Saviour, we are “IN HIM”. This means when He died on the cross by taking the punishment of our sin, we died with Him. When He was buried and lay in the tomb, we laid in the tomb with Him. When He walked out of the grave arisen to new life, we walked along with Him. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father and we too are seated with Him in heavenly places. What an inheritance we have, if only we believe! Pause and let this soak in!
So, you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were “circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision—the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. Colossians 2:10-15
Isn’t it funny how the enemy of our soul is a copy-cat? He is a wanna-be god. He copies God in evil ways that are opposite to our heavenly Father. Just like God resurrected NEW LIFE the devil tries to resurrect our old man. This is so he can rule over us. So, let’s be wise to the tactics of the enemy and anchor our faith into the love of God. Trusting that although life is not always easy, there is an ease that comes when we do it with Him that we would never have if we did it on our own or the way the world does.
We know this: whatever we used to be with our old sinful ways has been nailed to His cross. So, our entire record of sin has been canceled, and we no longer have to bow down to sin’s power. Romans 6:6
We no longer have to be guilt, condemnation and sin machines! That is so freeing!
Thank God that your slavery to sin has ended and that in your new freedom you pledged your heartfelt obedience to that teaching which was passed on to you. The beauty of your new situation is this: now that you are free from sin, you are free to serve a different master, God’s redeeming justice. Romans 6:17-18
